Our Turkey Project.

We love to do fun projects and the girls really have a nice time. So we jumped on No time for flashcards and picked out a project to do. We thought a Thanksgiving one would be perfect for right now. We found Allie's Turkey project, yet once again we didn't have all the items, so we modified our Turkey. However,I think it turned out quite nice....It was a little hard for the girls (they were just a bit young for this project) and I sort of felt Sara and I did most of the project. But It turned out nice and we all had fun.

We had the Girls paint a "picture" for us. We used that paint for the turkey's body. Sara had some paper that she used for scrapbooking and we used a few different colors for the Feathers of Mr. Turkey. Since the girls love the pipe cleaners so much, we used those for our feet.

We only we able to get half of the project done on the first day, It was nap time. So, today we finished it.....as you can tell by the new clothes they have on.

We can't forget Miss Norah either. She was napping while we were doing our project each day. But We did get a cute pictures of her when she woke up.

Christmas Photo shoot....Take One.

I thought it would be fun to do some Christmas photos. So I dressed the girls cute and TRIED to take a Picture for our Christmas cards this year. Let me tell you....That is one hard task with my two girls. We had fun, but they enjoyed playing with all the Christmas lights and bulbs more than letting me take a photo of them. Here is a few from our little photo shoot.

Friday Holiday Movie.....Charlie Brown Christmas

I have always Loved this one too. Charlie Brown, Our favorite guy, Every year I wait for this one to come on TV...I try not to miss it. This is one cartoon that reminds me of being a kid all over again. I know we have all watched this at least once, and most of us each year.

The Big House.

Yeah, so you all know me. I can sometimes do things that may make me seem like I'm not the sharpest crayon in the box. The other day, that was just how I had to explain myself.

You know that basket that EVERYONE has on their counter, the basket that all your papers go into and get lost. I too have that basket. Back a few months ago I received a letter for jury Duty. I filled out the forms and sent them back in. I then received another letter saying that I would have to call in the week of September 15th. Well, I never did it! I put that paperwork in the basket and totally forgot about it!

I was cleaning out that basket (since I hadn't in MONTHS) the other night and found that form. I FREAKED OUT! I couldn't believe what I had done....or what I hadn't done. I called the numbers on the back and all I got was recordings since it was 7:00 at night. I then thought to call my good friend Stacy because her hubby is going to law school. I thought maybe he could give me some incite on what I had done, and also try to make me feel better about sharing a jail cell with a woman named Big Bertha. She ended up calling her Father in Law who is an Attorney, and he said that it happens quite often and to just call the county clerk in the morning. That I wouldn't be going to jail that I may get a fine out of it or a slap on the wrist. I was hoping for the second of the two at least....especially since I hadn't ever done anything like this before.

I slept like crap and was nervous all night. I called first thing, Now God was totally on my side on this one. The man on the phone looked into it.....My panel hadn't even been called, THANK-YOU-LORD!!!! I felt so much better! After telling the man on the phone how much I appreciated him telling me that, I hung up and was able to actually breathe again.

So lucky me....I won't have to meet Big Bertha and I won't have to spend my holidays in the Big House!

Our Weekend....Busy Yet, Not.

We had a nice weekend. Nice but quite strange. The girls went to my moms on Friday night until this morning. We always look forward to time alone, but feel lost when the girls are gone....we kind of feel like we have lost something or are missing a leg or arm. It's weird.

I did a lot of friend catching up time this weekend though......Friday afternoon I went to a bridal shower for Gracie. Her work friends threw her one. Mom and I were invited as well. I wanted to go and support her, so the girls and I went along with my mom. That evening Bryan and I went to dinner with my friend Deana, I hadn't seen her in quite a long time, so it was so nice to catch up with her. She is in the process of a divorce and has blossomed and found herself since her split with her husband. I love the new Deana....not that I didn't love her before, but she had this new glow and happiness about her that is so nice to be around. I'm just so happy for her.

Saturday we slept in....a rare thing in our lives. Once we woke up, we kept is nice and slow.....we ate some yummy fat donuts and drank big cups of coffee and just totally relaxed. It was SO Quiet and SO strange, we took it all in and enjoyed ourselves. We bundled all up and walked down to a local church that had a holiday bazaar going on. It was a handy trip for us because I did get a few ideas for Christmas gifts that I am going to try to make. I pretty much had to drag Bryan, but in the end he enjoyed himself....I think it was just nice to be together.

My good friend Stacy came over on Saturday evening and we split a bottle of wine, ate some pasta Bryan made for us and caught up on each others lives. Once again, I hadn't seen her in quite some time either. I miss her...but she will be moving back to the area in a year and a half...I SURE can't wait!!

Today I went wedding dress shopping with Felicity (my brother's future wife). What a cutie she is. She found her dress today....she looks beautiful in it! She is going to be a beautiful bride! T he wedding is Labor day weekend. My baby brother will be married, how crazy! However, she is perfect for Matt. They are just alike!

We came back home this evening and spent some time with the girls. They sure are tired...they had a ton of fun at Grandma and Papa's this weekend. But they are always WHIPPED when they get home.

Like I said, we went dress shopping for Felicity, I won't post her picture....we can't let Matt see her. Amelia is going to be one of two flower girls. We put a dress on her today (this isn't the one they are getting).....she thought she was something special. I sure can't wait to see her in a dress the day of the wedding. Anyway, here she is. So cute!

6. That Husbands can really be pretty amazing and quite understanding and even helpful with the process of having a newborn in our lives.

Friday Holiday Movie.....Home Alone.

As most of you know, or will come to find out, I lOVE the Holidays! This year will be even more fun with both of my girls. Amelia is already noticing the lights and decorations in the stores. Yes, they are out already...they have been since just after The forth of July (not really).

I have decided that every Friday from now to Christmas I would name one of my favorite Holiday movies. I have MANY favorites, and yes I actually do try to watch most of these at some point between all the Parties, events and Get-to-gethers. I'm sure my girls are going to Love it too!

The first movie I want to feature is one I have watched entirely WAY to much....and I'm sure I will watch it for years to come.

After a fight with his older brother, Buzz, over Little Nero's pizza, in front of the rest of the family, results in him being sent up to the third floor for the night, Kevin McCallister (Culkin) wishes that his family would simply disappear. After a power line failure during the night which resets all the alarm clocks, the rest of the family rushes to leave to go on a Christmas vacation to Paris, France. During the confusion, Kevin is accidentally left at home by himself and experiences what it is like to be independent for the first time, but two burglars, Harry (Joe Pesci) and Marv (Daniel Stern), plan to break-into his house. But Kevin sets up traps out of household items. The intruders are caught, and Kevin is reunited by his family who came back.
