I've Been Tagged!

Thanks Sarah, for the Tag.

Playing Tag, that's fun right? You run around as a child, or even an adult and try to catch the other players. I didn't quite care for it as a kid....it always made me so nervous that I wouldn't ever be able to catch the others kids playing with me. I wasn't fast and would get frustrated when I couldn't catch someone.

UUUUUGGGG!!! The stress of the game of Tag is all coming back to me now. I remember one tag game that we were playing........ I remember it was a hot summer night at my friend Jennifer's house, when she lived on Saint Mary's street in town. It was warm out, and the bugs were out, they had one of those bug zappers going....the parents were eating and drinking and having fun sitting in the screened in porch on the back of the house. While all of us kids were running and playing in the back yard. I remember the Pine tree on the side of the house was the SAFE spot, and I could never seem to the other kids before they got to that tree. I Just hated it, and I just wanted the game to end. Isn't tag supposed to be fun for kids? Maybe I was a weird kid, I'm sure everyone else was having a fun time. Well, tag has come a long way with this computer age....we have on-line tag now. This is how it goes.

Sarah from Ohana Mama Tagged me today. It's a fun Blog game that you can play. I thought, why not play along. How fun. So here we go:

Rules are I am to tell you Seven things about myself then also Tag Seven others. Thought it was cute, so here are my seven things.

1. I would Love to live on a lake one day. To be able to sit on my own deck and look at the water and watch a storm roll in.

2. I Loved my dog Darden, but I really don't think I want to get another pet anytime soon....I don't like to have to deal with the dirt and fur. I think I'm just to compulsive about keeping my house clean.

3. I Love Fresheta Pizzas. I LOVE them, the crust is so yummy and just the right amount of sauce. I really think they are the best frozen pizza's and I think they out do all the local pizza joints. (yes, I'm hungry right now)

4. I drink Two cups of coffee every morning. Sometimes more, but always at least two.

5. My dream vacation is to go to Italy.....stay in a little house in the middle of a vineyard and drink wine all day.

6. The cartoon Dora the Explorer drives me NUTS! She is absoloutly WAY to happy.....She must be on something to be that darn happy.

7. I LOVE to take pictures.....most of you knew that already right? :)

Now I must tag others....Tag, you all are it. (oh and I'm at the tree already)

Our Allie project.....No Time For Flashcards.

We decided to do a project with Amelia and Rhiley today. We pulled up Allie's website, No time for flashcards and found this Ghost project, that you tear the tissue paper....learn about textures and that type of thing. However, we had some of the items, but not all, so we modified it to what we had and made a pumpkin instead. The girls were tired (It was nap time) but they still had fun. They loved the glue sticks.

Here they are starting the project.
Like I said, Amelia LOVED the glue stick.
Rhiley doing a great job here.
All done, here is the finished project.
Rhiley showing hers off too.
Here is a close up of Amelia's pumpkin.

Grape picking....our slice of Italy in Michigan.

We had beautiful weather her this weekend. We thought we should take advantage of it and go find something to do outdoors on Sunday. I wanted to go Apple picking, but we couldn't find any where that wasn't already done for the season or super expensive.

I called Lemon Creek....one of my favorite winery's here in the area because they have apple picking....well the apple picking was over but we could pick Grapes and Rasberries. So we thought, heck, lets try it. Amelia LOVED it! And so did we. It was a blast. They take you for a little wagon ride back into the field and drop you off with your baskets. You pick until your hearts desire. It's was 60 cents her pound. So super cheep. We really didn't need a ton, because we wern't going to make wine or jam like others, so we just picked enough to eat. We only spent $1.42 and had an awesome time! Here are a few pictures from out adventure!

Here we are waiting for the tractor to take us to the vineyard.
Norah on the wagon. She wasn't feeling the best, but still had fun.
Amelia is ready with her basket.
Showing daddy where all the good grapes are.
My family.

Amelia loved running though the vineyard.
We took a walk though the apple trees too. Amelia eating her grapes while we walked.
Taking a break, it was a warm day, so we were resting in the shade.
Loving on my Norah Belle.
Here are some of the grapes....Yum, Yum!

Our little bunch we picked. Some people left with Numerous FULL baskets!
Just a dusty shot of the vineyard.
Apples on the left and Grapes on the right.

We had so much fun. If you are able to do something like this in your area....do it! The kids loved it and it was so fun to get out and walk around.

Here is a link to the Vineyard we went to.

Amelia's Big Party!

We had Amelia's Birthday party on Saturday (her actual birthday). She had a great party! We had quite a few people here.

Grandma and Papa Willbrandt, Jake and Gracie, Matt and Felicity, Grandma and Grandpa Rodgers, Gramma Judie, Jennifer and Jason, Sara, Taylor and Rhiley, Tracy and her new beau John. It was a full house!

Amelia made out.....Tons of clothes, puzzles, blocks, a tent that came with a flashlight and a sleeping bag and a backpack, she also got little fold table to eat at, a chalk board with a bunch of chalk and art supplies, a bunch of cute books, a CD of cute Christian music....in which we have had to listen to over and over all day so far. She also received a cute little bag with her name on it and a soft little bear that says the lords prayer. Then last night Matt and Nicole came over and brought her a cute new coat and a sweet stuffed bear.

Well of course I took a ton of pictures to share with everyone! So take a peek:

First thing in the morning we let her open the gifts we bought her. Here she is with her new puzzle.
Later on, I gave her my old doll cradle from when I was a little girl. She loves it!
On to the party....here is her cake, It was a Blue's clues cupcake cake.
We are singing to her here.
She actually blew out her candle herself.
This was the excitement when she got her tent! Yup, she LOVED it!
All done with her gifts....Rhiley helped her open gifts.
See what a big girl she is!I have to toss in a cute one of Norah too. My Mother in law sent her that cute outfit!

Amelia and Norah LOVE the new tent! I even have it set up in their bedroom. They think that's pretty cool. I thought, whats the point of having it if it's not set up.

Here she is with her new table from Grandma and Grandpa. It folds right up, it's perfect for her.

Feeling Sentimental......a blast from the past!

Sentimental moments call for Sentimental photos.

Since Amelia is Two today I was looking though my old pictures of her. I thought I would show off a few from her past two years of life. I can't believe she is Two already! The first picture below doesn't seem like it was two years ago already!

Amelia has blessed our lives in so many ways, I can't even express how much we love her! She is sweet and so naughty all in one breath! But we wouldn't change a thing.

Happy Birthday baby girl!

Just born, maybe 15 hours old or so.
Just such a sweetie.

Birthday Dinner for Miss Amelia.

We took Amelia out for dinner tonight for her Birthday (which is tomorrow)....The Big TWO!! We went to Chili's and she ate her Chicken strips and French fries....her favorite.

We told them it was her birthday so they sang to her and also gave her an ice cream sundae....She really liked it. (the light was strange in the resturant, coming though the wood blinds on the windows)

Here they are singing to her....she wasn't sure what to think of it all.
Eating her ice cream. Yum! Yum!

Look at Miss Norah.....what a sweetie!
