Funny Flashbacks.

I was looking through some old things today and I came across these two videos. Oh my goodness did I laugh.

Miss Norah.....last April

Miss Amelia...Last March

Amelia and the Puzzle.

Amelia received this Scobby Doo Puzzle for Christmas. She is quite fond of it, and we do it over and over all day long. Today, I decided to snap a few photos to show her off doing it. It's a 15 piece puzzle of Scooby and the gang. She is learning to match up the colors and shapes. I'm quite proud she can do it....Remember she is only two. With just a little bit of help she is able to do the whole puzzle herself.

I know, I'm just being a silly proud mama. Here are the photos:

Winter Continues to Pound.

Winter is here to stay for some time I think. It's FREEZING out there today, yes, it's a high of 5 degrees right now and and quite snowy! We are to get down to -10 tonight. Yes, NEGATIVE and with the wind chill it will feel like -50 they are saying!!! YIKES! We have made the decision to not go anywhere today. We are hanging out playing, watching Elmo and relaxing.

I know I just said it's cold outside, but really it's really verybeautiful! We had a lull for a while and the sun actually came out. The girls were napping pretty hard so I grabbed the monitor and I threw on my boots, coat, hat and scarf and headed outside. Winter really is very beautiful!

Our Snowy Weekend

Our weekend was nice, a break from the rush and go that we have been experiencing the past month or so. It's been so busy, it was nice to stop.

We had to go to the grocery store on Thursday, and I thought I would bring my camera along. What a neat place to take pictures....The lighting is so odd in there, so I was able to get some cute shots of the girls.

Friday Amelia got sick while we were at the gym, but she seemed ok all day. Nothing major and out of the ordinary. But as the weekend went on she was sicker and sicker. Very high temps and lathargic acting. It was very out of the ordinary for miss Amelia. She ended up quite sick Sunday morning and It actually frightened us all. She seems to be on the mend and doing better...I hope. I hate to see my girl so out of sorts.

On Saturday afternoon we decided that we would go up and visit my mom and dad. It was pretty nasty out...snowing, blowing and the roads were not good, but we went anyway. I decided that we should toss some clothes and extra diapers in a bag, just in case we had to stay the night. We debated on going because of the nasty weather my parents even called and said we didn't have to come, but Bryan said we could make it no problem. We knew they were missing the girls and needed some Amelia and Norah lovin'. So, with that being said, we went.

Once getting up to Decatur we realized that they were getting much more snow than we were getting down here, but the road were still travel-able. We hung out for a few hours and then realized that the snow just wasn't letting up at all. We made the decision to stay the night and just relax with my parent for the evening. We planned on getting up and going home, I was to go to a baby shower, but with Amelia and the nasty weather, it wasn't happening that way.

We had a nice relaxing time watching HGTV most the the time and eating all the tasty treats and dinner my mom made. She is always whipping something yummy up. We had chili and she made some cookies too. YUMMY!

I brought my camera and sat around and played with the different setting and took tons of pictures. The snow was beautiful falling so I did a lot of outside picture......from the porch of course, I wasn't going to tromp through the snow. I also....of course took a ton of the girls too.

If your wondering about these two pictures, it's an inside story, if you get it, well go ahead and laugh.

Just a few cute one of the girls while at my parents.

Amelia, Norah and Miss Rhiley

Rhiley and Sara came over the other day and we all played...well the girls did. It was so great to have them over again. I missed them. With all the holidays, sick kids and things going on, we haven't been able to spend quality time with them. Of course I documented our Get-together with photos. Here they are.

Amelia and Rhiley. I LOVE this picture! Best friends Forever!

The Pitter Patter of more little feet? Oh yes!

We will now start to hear the Pitter Patter of more little feet.

Yes, Norah took her first steps tonight at about 7:30ish....yes I looked at the clock! It was so cute, Bryan and I were having her walk between the two of us, (you know, come to daddy....come to mommy) and to our surprise she just let go and took three little steps. We made a huge exciting deal of course....that made her very excited and she wasn't able to do it again. She just kept squealing and laughing and diving between the two of us.

But it has now began....Norah walking now too. Pretty soon Amelia will have Norah chasing her all over the house. Amelia is in trouble now.

The fun things in life.

Norah's One Year Stats.

As you all know, Miss Norah turned One a few weeks back. However, today she went to her one year doctor well-visit appointment.

She is doing pretty good. She is growing well and seems to be on target for most everything. She is just about to walk...so close, but just not yet. The doctor said that it is just fine. She is eating well, (she LOVES to eat!!) and now can go over to 2% milk instead of whole. Just still no Honey.

Here are her stats:
Weight: 20.3 pounds (30%)
Height: 28.5 inches (24%)
Head: 18 1/4 inches (81%)

The only thing that he was a bit concerned about is her talking. She isn't saying that much yet. Only mama, dada and a few other ones on a NORMAL basis. However, he claims that is normal for the second child.....Since Amelia will talk for her, and of course we just aren't able to give her our full 100% undivided attention like we were able to do with the first child. Amelia is such an attention hog....Poor Norah.

The one other thing is....she has a double ear infection. She hasn't ever had one before and he said she looks to be on the end of it all...so he didn't even give us meds or anything for it. She is just to take some Tylenol before bed. The reason he noticed the infection was because I mentioned that she has been waking and crying multiple times throughout the night. He checked her ears and found it. My poor baby.

Our Pretty Norah is doing great and will continue to give us all happy cheezy smiles.
