Our Fun Day At Gracie's House.

We had a fun day yesterday. My good friend Sara is out of town, so I had the opportunity to watch Rhiley for the day. I thought it would be fun for us to get out of the house and do something different. I decided that we should drive up to Decatur to visit my family. We spent the day at my Brother and Sister-in-law Gracie's house. We just hung out, relaxed and had a great time. I had the chance to spend some time with my mom and Gracie and of course Maggie. Amelia, Rhiley and Norah had a fun time too. They all ended up napping while we were there too.

The girls found Maggies Toys and broke them in for her. Also, my mom brought Tinker Bell the movie for them to watch and we made Pop Corn of course. The girls barely watched the movie, but played and enjoyed the pop corn....especially Norah, she loved it!

I also had my camera along and thought it would be fun to take some pictures of Maggie while I was there. She wasn't that happy about it so we only were able to get a few, but I shot a few cute ones.

Here are a few photos that documented our day at Gracies house.

Living in Michigan, snow, snow and more snow.

EarthLust Water bottles. A Rave.

I have to show some thing off to you all. I came across the coolest water bottles today. I'm in Love with them! Erin over at the Mom Buzz featured the site today and I am decided I needed to show you too.

First of,f I hate to buy water from the store, all those 20 ounces plastic bottles just go into the landfills. It's so sad. I like to use my own water bottle and drink the water from my own faucet.....our water does taste pretty good here to top it off. Now I found these bottles and I want one so bad!!

Check out this site, It's called EarthLust. You must hop on over there and take a peek. Oh and by the way, I'm in love with them all....you can get me which ever one you want. Hint, Hint.

My favorite one is this one....the Silver Parsley, isn't it cool?!

The View From My Camera Lens. My New Blog.

I have decided to start a new blog, a blog for my photography. I would like to showcase it a little more basic, and simple. Just my work, plain and simple.

I will continue to do regular posts here, however, when I shoot a photo or a job that I'm happy and proud of, I will show it off there. Please feel free to take a look from time to time to keep up on my professional life.

Take a peek....let me know what you think.

Amelia and The Barack Obama Song!

Amelia is in love with this song! It's almost as exciting to her and The Salmon Dance, Chemical Brothers song was to her before. She hears the beginning and comes running. The girls dances and sings her little heart out! My little Obama Supporter.....So proud I am!

I caught her dancing to it. What a good laugh it was! Ignore her mess in the background!
Here is a You Tube Link of the song:

Fun Times, Fun Times.

Fun times, Yes, Fun times in the Rodgers household.

The girls thought it was fun to put Daddy's hat on. Cute aren't they?

Moon sand....ok, someone said it wasn't messy. UM, WRONG! What a mess, But she had a blast!
Yes, I have a daredevil in the house. Naughty is more like it.

Our New President of the United States of America.

What an amazing day for us as Americans. To have such hope for the future.

I sat on the couch with Amelia, and explained to her what was going on. I told her how we are getting a new president, and that he is the first African American president that the United States has ever had. That it's history in the making. You could see her little mind going, thinking and processing what I was saying. She just kept saying "Back Omama, Pes-int?" It was cute. She actually sat still and watched it with me. When they said the prayer, she bowed her head and shut her eyes for a few moments....I kept peeking at her. I was impressed with her interest, as much as a two year old can try to figure out.

Norah slept though it.....

Anyway, I found a few photos on line I wanted to share. Photos from:

Daily Life In Our Home.

Hi everyone. We have been stuck in the house a lot because of the cold weather. Yes, we are all getting tired of it already too. Amelia stands at the window and say "outside mama?" I feel bad, because sometimes it's sunny and looks nice....yet so cold! It was -19 here the other day. Yes, that was the actual air temperature. She just can't play out in temps like that.

I have been busy snapping photos of the girls though. We still play, play, play and keep busy, even indoors. They have enough energy to keep going, going, going. Below are a few photos of our daily life.

I love this shot of Norah.

We had Rhiley and Sara over the other day and we made cookies...By the way Tracy, that is FABULOUS cookie mix you gave us for Christmas!! Those were some VERY good cookies!
Our finished product.
Amelia really loved them!
The girls love to Help. The baby lock for under the sink broke, here are the girls helping daddy. I had to take a picture, it was so cute.
I decided to take Amelia out side for a few minutes....and minutes was about it for her. She thought the snow was neat until she touched it and said "COLD!! Go inside now mama."
Probably my new favorite picture of her....what a darling, isn't she sweet looking. AAAAWWW!
Yes, we have a lot of snow...see our deck.
Silly girls...they actually did this to themselves. Amelia thought she was so funny! Oh and that is Amelia's underware...not mine. :)

Fun Inside, When It's Cold Outside.

Sara's hubby Taylor has taken a new job and will now be driving truck. He is in his Training run and will be gone until the first of March! Yes, March! So we are going to adopt Sara and Rhiley. :) No but really, we have had them over so they have some love in their lives....just what the doctor ordered.

Here are a few pictures from the past few days of our fun we have been having, some of the pics aren't the best quality, but it still shows our silly fun.

See, she is almost walking!
Miss Serious here.I liked this picture, but couldn't get it to flip around.....sorry.
Rhiley taught us how to do the Scary face!!!

Amelia was supposed to be napping, Norah was playing in the hallway, and we found them talking to each other under the door. Amelia would stick her fingers out under the door. It cracked us up.
Silly.
Sweetie.
It wasn't ALL fun. Sometimes naps are required. Poor girl, she was sleepy.
Norah being funny.

The girls were tired, so they set up the pillows on the dining room floor. It was cute.
